Low Cervix Menstrual Cup with Stem, Shorty, Sport Firmness

(6 reviews) Write a Review

This low cervix menstrual cup is called a shorty. The reduced height makes it perfect for users with low cervix position/ shorter than average vaginal canal. The firmer Sport cup provides a more secure seal and resists compression by strong pelvic muscles but it can be more challenging to insert and remove.

This menstrual cup is featured in Sapphire blue, Amethyst purple or clear color in the shorty size range -perfect for users with a lower than average cervix.

What Menstrual Cup Size to Choose?

Most MeLuna Shorty users do well with the following criteria:

The Shorty Small is used primarily by users with special circumstances:

Shorty Small is created to accommodate users with the need for a very narrow AND very short cup. This may occur due to scarring from injury, radiation treatment or surgeries as well as medical conditions.

Users without special medical considerations generally select by these options:

Shorty Medium is commonly used by users of all ages who have not given birth vaginally at all and have a light flow

Shorty Large is commonly used by users of all ages who have not given birth vaginally at all or have not had more than one vaginal birth.

Shorty XL is primarily used by users who have had at least one vaginal birth and users who have a very heavy flow.

The handle is available in all three styles:

a small ball - our least noticeable handle style, most comfortable

a ring - most noticeable and easiest to find style for users worried about  not being able to reach their cup easily

a stem - great for beginners, this style is comfortable and easy to find

This listing is for the STEM handle

Works Well - firmness more noticeable in shorty

Posted by Tina Y on Jul 20th 2021

I have a low cervix so this cup's height is great. I wish they made the bottom a bit wider in shape to hold more liquid though, as I can't wear it 12 hrs w/o emptying it like I could my other brand cup. Also, the sport firmness feels even firmer in this cup because of how short it is, aka when taking it out it's a bit uncomfortable, if I had known this I'd have gotten the short in regular firmness, so I wanted to let others know. Still, overall this cup is great and I get no leaks! Also, I wish the bags they gave you to keep it in were smaller and breathable cotton so after you wash and sanitize it it can breathe/dry. I have tried the regular length standard firmness, sport firmness, and shorty sport firmness in M. I am 33 and have not had children.

    Love this!

I absolutely love this. I cannot use silicone due to an allergy I have. I was worried that I'd have to go back to using tampons and pads, but then I found this. I love the choice of stems which makes it so much easier to use. Absolutely recommend.

    Shorty Sport Ball tip

Posted by Sandra on Aug 11th 2020

Finally found a perfect fit. I have a low Cervix , weak vaginal wall from 2 Vaginal births. The others I tried were too long but wide enough or short and not wide enough. Both kept slipping down. Then the other issue is trimming the end. I would fill the trimmed end it would poke and be so uncomfortable. Finally, I found MeLuna . I still get a little slipping but after 6-8 hrs of wear, and I cant feel the ball at all even if it slips down a little. Other than that I'm really happy. I have a normal flow and I'm 3-4 days long , just in case this helps.

    Sport Shorty clear w/ ball

LOVE this cup. Firmer material and shorter length work perfectly for me - soooo much better than my prior Diva Cup which always slid down. This one stays put and I don't feel it at all!! I wish I had switched sooner. (I'm 48, 2 kids).

    It's the best!

Menstrual cups have been the best invention for that time of month. Seriously the best. I tried the diva cup first because it was the only one I knew about, but it was too long for me that there was some serious discomfort. Buttt I researched that and stumbled upon meluna's shorties and yall, this is the best ever! It is a serious period game changer. I can't say enough good things about it and the company in general. Great customer service.

    great product

I am happy with this. It is the first cup I've bought (of many) that I finally got to fit properly. The air holes work great: if it is full, you just have a slight drip, the same as if your tampon were full. I was afraid it would just come undone or something and make a huge mess. I would give it more stars except I did have one problem. I wish you could buy it without any type of handle. The first one I cut off and I cut a hole in it! I know, that is my own fault. But then I had to order another, and I can't cut it perfectly smoothly around the bottom like I want it to be. I don't need the handle because I have a very low cervix the first few days of my cycle.
