Menstrual Cup with Stem Handle, Classic Firmness,

(17 reviews) Write a Review

This is a standard height cup for users with average cervix position. Our popular Classic firmness works well for most users. It is easy to insert and remove and very comfortable to wear.

This cup is featured in the standard size range in a beautiful Sapphire blue color, Amethyst purple or clear.

What Menstrual Cup Size to Choose?

In Standard Height Cups most customers do well with the following criteria:

Size Small is primarily used by younger users and makes a great teen cup! If you are choosing the small due to light flow be sure that this diameter is sufficient to create an adequate seal for you.

Size Medium is a great cup for users of all ages who have not given birth vaginally. If you are choosing the medium due to light flow be sure that this diameter is sufficient to create an adequate seal for you.

Size Large is commonly used by users who have given birth vaginally or those that require a slightly larger capacity due to heavier flow

Size XL is primarily used by users who have had multiple vaginal births and users who have a very heavy flow and are able to accommodate the larger diameter

The handle is available in three styles:

a small ball - our least noticeable handle style, most comfortable

a ring - most noticeable and easiest to find style for users worried about  not being able to reach their cup easily

a stem - great for beginners, this style is comfortable and easy to find

This listing is for the STEM handle style.

This one was just a little too long. I ordered a shorty and it works great!

    Classic cup with handle stem

Posted by Unknown on Mar 20th 2021

This cup does not open as easily as my other cup once inserted. After I get it to open, the seal is good and I have not experienced any leaks. I will continue to use as a backup cup or on my lighter days.

    GOLDILOCKS! (just right) :)

Posted by Nicole on Jan 23rd 2021

First off let me say that I've never given birth, so I always get the cups which specify as such. I cannot speak to the menstrual-cup-buying experience of someone who has given birth, and I'm not sure how different it is.

I've used a few different brands of menstrual cup before meluna. Diva cup and sckoon cup. The material on the meluna cup feels very similar to the divacup, but the meluna softens a bit after insertion (or run it under hot water), so it's more comfortable to wear than the diva cup. The meluna gets a better seal than the sckoon cup (which is the softest cup I've used). I got the medium sized meluna cup which is a little smaller/shorter than the diva cup and is about the same size as the sckoon cup.

I love the stem handle design! It's much easier to grab and remove than the diva cup. If I were to try something like the ring style handle, I would probably get the longer meluna cup though.

All that being said, your experience will likely be different than mine, depending on your cervix. If you like the diva cup but it's too long, you'll definitely prefer the meluna cup. I also love how the meluna cup came with a cleaning brush (for the little holes) and a lollipop!! The fact that they put love and care into their packaging really means a lot to me. Since meluna also sells other menstrual cup accessories and they have a variety of cup styles, I feel like I've found the holy grail!

    Love It!

Posted by Rachel on Sep 30th 2020

I just started using this product this week and I already love it. I followed size recommendations on the website and I must have got the perfect size on the first try. It fits great and haven't had any leaks. The first time trying to put it in and get it out were a bit difficult since i have never used one of these before, but after just 2 days it is already much easier. The only thing I might do different if I get another on is to get the one with the loop end. I have the one with the ball end and sometimes its hard to get a grip on it to get it out. Getting the hang of it though. So glad I decided to try this product! Would recommend and will buy again!

I love this cup! being a first time user of menstrual cups this cup is phenomenal, as well as the resources on this website for how to take care of yourself and your cup while being sustainable. Highly recommend.

Love the custom and ring option but...

Posted by Tara on Jul 28th 2020

I love the customization and it is the only one of two cups I have owned over the last 25 years that I didn't need to turn inside out to prevent pinching. The ring is comfortable. However, I find the standard firmness to be too soft and it makes opening the cup a real pain. I tried all the different folds and twisting. I finally managed a n and push method but that is not ideal. Out of all the cups I have owned, this is by far the hardest to pop open. I am going to try the sport firmness, though I am not athletic and I worry it will be way too firm like my very first cup. Still on my quest for Goldielocks.

This has been great so far - didn't take as long as I expected to get used to it, and once I figured it out, it's pretty comfortable and easy to go about the rest of my day!

    Standard cup

Posted by Danielle on Apr 24th 2020

I was looking for a shorter smaller cup from my previous L Lena. I spoke to someone online and they suggested the Med classic. There’s nothing wrong with it. Pretty similar to most standard cups that I’ve tried but it was the same length as Lena Was (with its handle cut off.) I’m going to be ordering a shortie to get the length I was hoping for. Overall it’s good cup. Opens without issues and easy to clean. Loved the extra care they take in the packaging and the handle options.

    Meluna regular menstrual cup

Posted by Megan on Nov 15th 2019

This cup was my second try at a menstrual cup. My first was a saalt soft. I feel like I got the hang of this one faster. I switched because I thought I was sensitive or allergic to the other cup. It got very itchy after wearing for a couple of hours. This one didn’t. Yay! It’s pretty comfortable and worth the learning curve.
