One Face Mask of Your Choice!
Are you able to make your own fabric face mask? That's great! If you would like to do that you can find patterns and instructions here.
If you are unable to do that and would like one, we would like to offer you this low cost option.
It's made from cotton fabric outer and organic, unbleached cotton flannel inner, attached with 1/4" elastic. Elastic color may vary.
It does not have any fillers, filters or pockets.
It is meant to limit the transfer of droplets. It is not able to kill or prevent the virus. It just limits transmission by creating a physical barrier for the droplets.
The masks are made using the instructions above, provided by Turban Project.
Child size from the tutorial is therefore a size SMALL for this listing.
Adult size from the tutorial is a size LARGE for this listing.
We created an intermediary size for adults with small or narrow faces that we labeled MEDIUM in this listing.
XL are currently only available in All-In-One and Pocket MasksDid you know we offer a special discount for customers who have purchased a Face Mask from us but didn't get the perfect fit on first try? We call it the 'Stay Safe Policy'. If you have purchased a face mask from us and would like to try a different size, please request the coupon code HERE
Since the masks can't be returned let's make sure we get the sizing right. Below are the UNSTRETCHED MEASUREMENTS from the center of the back of the ear to the center of the back of the ear on the other side measured across your face. See illustrations below. Choose the size that most closely corresponds to your measurement. Use a tape measure and measure from the back of your ear center across your nose to the back of your ear center on the other side. Choose the size that is just above the actual mask measurements shown below. The elastic will stretch a little but you don't want it so narrow that it gets too tight.
XL are currently only available in All-In-One and Pocket Masks
If you want your face mask a little snugger you can shorten the elastic by tying a knot as shown below:
Masks in individual photos are shown both folded as well as unfolded to show you what the patterns would look like in use on your face. While the photos show two masks for that purpose the listing is for one mask.
How to take care of your face mask:
- Please wash the face mask after every outing and before the first time you wear it in hot water with laundry detergent
- If you do not have enough masks to keep up with laundry in between outings , please consider to at least steam disinfect the mask (see here) every day you wear it.
- If your mask includes a bendable nose piece please make sure it does not get crushed in the laundry as it can damage the nose piece. If you own a bra protector for washing bras in the machine you can use them to protect your face mask with nose piece). Never fold your bendable nose piece sharply in half.
- You may dry your mask in the dryer or air dry. Steam sterilized masks will dry very quickly.
