For Disinfecting Your Menstrual Cup:
Don't want to take your chances forgetting your menstrual cup in a pot on the stove but also don't have a microwave?
This handy little cup steamer manages to disinfect your MeLuna menstrual cup with the use of steam in just 3 minutes.
All that is needed is an outlet and 5ml of water. Super easy to use!
- Thoroughly clean your menstrual cup with mild detergent and water
- Add 1 teaspoon of purified water
- Place menstrual cup with handle facing up in the device
- Put cover on and press button
- Be careful the steam will be very hot! Do not move the device while on.
- Leave the menstrual cup in the device while it is cooling for 20 minutes
- Makes sure not to store any damp cups in airtight containers
For Disinfecting Your Face Mask:
Recent testing has also shown that steam is an effective way to disinfect face masks! If you are using this unit for face mask steam disinfection follow the same directions but place the mask gently in the lid instead of on the pedestal. If you don't own enough face masks to launder yours after every outing the steam disinfection will at least disinfect it in between uses.
- Steam disinfection does not replace laundering. Disinfection will NOT remove stains etc.
- Add 1 teaspoon of purified water
- Place your face mask into the device lid without bending the nose wire w
- Put lid back on and press button
- Be careful the steam will be very hot! Do not move the device while on.
- Leave the face mask in the device while it is cooling for 20 minutes
- The face mask will now be slightly damp. Hang it to dry before wearing
