Great product, just not for me

Posted by Dita on Oct 5th 2019

This is the first time purchasing this brand. After much research and reviews, I purchased the classic with ball grip as my newest replacement. The site was easy to navigate and very clear. The shipping was amazingly fast with great tracking. The cup arrived in a nice little package with a small storage bag, a company note, and a two chocolates (cleaver!).

Unfortunately this product was not a good fit for me on many levels. I was excited about this order, and by no fault of the product or company, it just wasn’t right for me. I have still recommended them to other ladies.

    Small Learning Curve, Big Impact

Posted by McKenzie on Jun 24th 2019

Recently, I have made lots of zero-waste swaps in my life, but going from tampons to a menstrual cup was certainly one I was hesitant to try. At the end of my last box of tampons I decided it was time to try the cup. It was definitely weird to figure out at first, but after using it for a few days I pretty much became a pro and understood how to use it. Now that I'm over the learning curve, I strongly believe that this is a better alternative to tampons because you can leave it in longer (8-12 hours), it is easier to travel with and it is SO much better for the environment (the best perk for me). I strongly recommend this product for anyone looking to get started in the menstrual cup game!

    Good Beginner Cup!!!!

Posted by Susan Soltau on May 6th 2019

This was my first cup. It did take a little time to figure out the best procedure for my body, but once its in and sealed it seems to work really fine. I've had a pretty heavy and long period this time and its held up to it without too many leak problems.

I feel the only problems for some other users could be with the cpacity since it does appear to be a narrower cup and I bought the medium and had to empty it about every 4-6 hours on my heaviest day, but still better than pads!! Also the fatter rim can make for an uncofrtable removal process if you let it bump your urethra. I'm still mastering the best way to remove mine, but if done right, the discomfort seems mi nimal to none.

Overall I'm happy with this cup, and I'll have to experiment with it more to see how my classic medium functions under a more active daily life and perhaps I'll invest in other sizes anjd the sport from here in time. So far so good!!!

    It doesn't cause me pain!!!

Posted by Tia Dillman on May 6th 2019

I've had other menstrual cups and tampons, and with my endometriosis they always cause me pain when I'm on my period. Not a ton of pain, but enough that it's irritating.
Because the meluna is completely customizable, I was able to get one that fits me perfectly and I no longer have pain when I use it! I'm so happy and thankful that I found meluna!
I'm also an Ironman triathlete and the meluna stays firmly in place when I workout, even with strength training!

    Classic Amethyst Standard

Posted by Kelly Carpenter on Apr 24th 2019

This is my second type of menstrual cup. It's firmer than the previous brand I tried, which seems to make it easier to remove. I had a good experience with it and really like the options available. I chose an XL with a ring handle, and it's so much easier for me to remove than one with a stem! I would recommend this cup highly.

    Firmer than most

Posted by Joanne on Apr 4th 2019

This is my third menstral cup and is by far the most rigid which helps with insertion. I purchased the one with a ring on the bottom to help with removal. I have difficulty with strength in my hands and needed something more substantial to get ahold of but it still is difficult to remove because I can’t break th “seal”. Overall I would recommend this cup over the others I have used and seen.

    Great ball stem cup!

Posted by Jessi on Oct 3rd 2018

After having my son, I could NOT tolerate the stem on my old cup. It hurt SO BAD, I think primarily on the scar tissue from my tear. I needed a ball stem cup and this one is wonderful so far! It was tough to get it to open the first few times I inserted it but it broke in quickly. Love it!

Not quite what I'm looking for

Posted by Melissa on Sep 19th 2018

I like the size, I like the ball tip, it is more comfortable than the stem, however, the material these are made of is was very uncomfortable during removal. I have very sensitive tissues since having kids, so the softer silicone cups I've tried in the past were better for me for removal. My search for the perfect cup for me continues.
