Cleaning and Disinfection Are Different
Clean the cup each time you empty it during your period. Disinfect it before its first use, before each new cycle, and again after your period ends.
How to Use Your MeLuna Cup
Wash your hands and fold the cup.
Use a fold that makes the cup narrow and comfortable to insert.
Insert the folded cup.
Guide it into the vaginal canal, then allow it to open below the cervix.
Check that it has opened.
Gently feel around the cup or rotate it slightly to make sure the body of the cup is fully open.
Empty and clean it as needed.
Pinch the cup to release the seal, remove it slowly, empty it, and wash it before reinserting.
How to Use the Microwave Sanitizer
- Clean the menstrual cup before disinfecting it.
- Place the cup inside the microwave sanitizer and add water as directed in the sanitizer instructions.
- Position the lid as directed so steam can escape safely.
- Microwave according to the included directions and your microwave’s power level.
- Allow the container and water to cool before removing them from the microwave.
- Carefully drain the water, then allow the cup to air-dry completely before storing it in the breathable pouch.
