En general, recomendamos aumentar una talla si vas a cambiar a un shorty. Por ejemplo, viniendo de una Diva 2 que es demasiado larga, tu mejor opción puede ser la Shorty XL, ya que es significativamente más corta y al mismo tiempo un poco más ancha.

Algunos consejos para cambiar de marca de copa menstrual

Si ha usado su copa menstrual de otra marca durante bastante tiempo y en general funcionó bien, no recomendamos bajar de talla incluso si nuestras recomendaciones generales para nuevas usuarias de copa lo sugieren.

Por ejemplo, si tuviste menos de 2 partos vaginales, la sugerencia de nuevo usuario para MeLuna sería la talla Grande. Si has usado la Diva talla 2 durante varios años y quieres cambiar, una MeLuna grande tendría un diámetro ligeramente más pequeño que tu copa actual.

What to Expect When Switching Menstrual Cup Brands

MeLuna is made from medical-grade TPE rather than silicone. The material may feel and behave differently from the cup you currently use. A short adjustment period is normal when changing cup shapes, firmness, or materials.

You May Not Feel a Strong Pop

Some silicone cups create a noticeable popping sensation when they open. A MeLuna cup may unfold without producing the same sensation.

Gently feel around the base to check that the cup has unfolded and is positioned comfortably.

A cup does not need to make a sound or create a strong pop to work correctly.

The Cup May Take On an Oval Shape

MeLuna cups are made from thermoplastic elastomer, or TPE. TPE responds to heat, including your natural body heat, and can gradually adapt to your body's shape during wear.

Because the vaginal canal is naturally more compressed than round, you may notice that your cup has taken on an oval or slightly asymmetrical shape when you remove it. This is normal.

Once your MeLuna has adapted to this shape, simply cooling the cup will not necessarily make it round again. It may remain oval until you wear it again, when body heat allows the material to adapt again. If you want to return the cup to a rounder shape, the heat used when boiling it for disinfection can help reshape the TPE.

An oval cup does not mean the cup is defective, and it does not cause leaking. The cup is sealing inside a vaginal canal that is itself compressed rather than perfectly round. If you are experiencing leaks, cup diameter and fit are more important factors to investigate than whether the cup looks round after removal.

Your Usual Fold May Feel Different

A fold that worked with your previous cup may behave differently with MeLuna. You may need to adjust the fold, insertion angle, or the point where you allow the cup to open.

Give yourself a few practice attempts before deciding whether the cup is the wrong fit.

Persistent Leaks Need Troubleshooting

Early leaks may result from placement, incomplete unfolding, cervix position, or cup size. Continued leaks may indicate that you need a different diameter, height, or firmness.

Your Previous Cup Size Does Not Equal a MeLuna Size

Cup size labels are not standardized between brands. A Small, Medium, or Large from another brand does not correspond to the same MeLuna size label.
